Sunday Seven No. 002
Hi Everyone!
Last week's email was opened 138 times by 43 people. Feels like it was well received and a few of you asked me to add your partners/friends/coworkers.
For those of you new here, welcome! Last week I started compiling a list of things that interest/inspire me and sharing them with close friends and family... and now you!
If you like the content, consider forwarding this email to a friend. They can always write me back to include them in the next one.
Lots of goodies this week. Enjoy!
MUSIC
Dan Mulqueen is an Handpan artist from New Jersey. I've been listening to his album Real Life during my morning routines. Listen to it on Spotify or Apple Music. This week he hosted a live solo concert on YouTube (50 minutes).QUESTIONS FROM MY JOURNAL
How will you remember this time?
How can you make the next 3-6 months something you look back on as a sacred time and treasure?
What is this an opportunity to do that you would otherwise never do?
Assuming the quarantine is lifted:
When will you take your first flight?
How will you react when the person next to you starts coughing?
What has to happen to make you feel it’s safe to send your child back to school?
What will happen when everyone returns to work, allergy season begins, and a few of your colleagues begin to sound nasally and cough persistently?
When you go out to dinner with your partner/friend/family, do you want to be served by a waiter/waitress wearing a mask and gloves?
If a test says you have immunity, will you stop social distancing and go back into public spaces while new infections are still being reported?
*Some of these questions are not my own. Email me for the source.
TRAVEL THROUGH FILM
We can still travel through film. Honeyland is an incredible look into the life of a woman who lives with her ailing mother in the mountains of Macedonia, making a living cultivating honey using ancient beekeeping traditions — a world most of us would otherwise never know. It's also the most awarded film out of this year's Sundance Film Festival. I highly recommend watching this one. Website, Buy/Rent on iTunesQUARANTINE NEIGHBORHOOD MAPS
A beautiful collection of hand-drawn maps of life under lockdown submitted by people from around the world, including my favorite "The Quarantine Commute" by Peter Gorman from Waikoloa, Hawaii.THE COMPLETE REMOTE WORK PLAYBOOK
A very comprehensive guide to help organizations and individuals adapt to remote work by LifeLabs Learning. You should read this and share it within your company. lifelabsworksheets.com/remoteFUN ON ZOOM
Snap Camera brings lightness into an otherwise utilitarian tool. I had a lot of fun being a Pickle on a virtual Zoom concert this weekend. Get it here (free)QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Let us prepare our minds as if we’d come to the very end of life. Let us postpone nothing. Let us balance life’s books each day. … The one who puts the finishing touches on their life each day is never short of time.
