Hey Friends 👋🏽
It’s been a while and I’ve been thinking about you every day (seriously). The last time I wrote to you was three weeks ago from the middle of Canada on a cross country road trip. We made it over the Rockies and to the West Coast where I have been spending time with family and friends (at a safe distance). It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen some folks and it’s been really nice to connect with everyone in these socially distant times. All that being said, I haven’t had many moments alone and have stayed mostly disconnected to be truly present with everyone. It’s been a blast. Here I am with Dewlap Toulouse geese on a friend’s family farm.
I’ve got 120 precious minutes alone right now and thought to write to you briefly.
I’m currently sitting across the New Westminster Pier Park while construction crews clear the smoldering remains of an urban park constructed just a few years back. Might be arson or just negligence but some idiot really messed up by burning it down last week. Here’s the before and after. All this happened while Vancouver was filled with smoke from Oregon fires. Smokesville.
I gotta go put together a trip plan for my parents who are driving back across Canada. I’ll share that with all of you as well in case anyone is thinking of doing the trip.
Back in Toronto this week on Friday. Got some pretty major personal news to share but I’ll save it for next week. There are some friends I want to tell in person frist. I’ll catch you up on everything that’s going on and we’ll get back to our regular Monday Seven programming.
Until then,
Yashar
